In a few hours, we will find out who will be the next President of the United States of America. North America.
I am surprisingly very emotional, and incredibly nervous. I have been following the campaigns, debates, and SNL like a maniac for the last few months, and soon we will all know. I don't even know what to say right now. I'm just praying that we will win. This is horribly trite, but it is time for a change, and it really needs to happen now. I can't stand living in a country with this many flaws. SO many things need to be fixed. SO MANY!
Whatever happens, today will be legendary. The first black president or the first woman vice president will be inaugurated. History is about to be made, and I'm right in the middle of it. My English teacher said that my generation seems to be the first "politically correct" one. She says that we are the people who will grow up and change life as we know it. Mind you, I attend an arts school, so all of us are incredibly liberal, but still.
I am ambivalent, antsy, nervous, terrified, tense, worried, but ready, proud, passionate, inspired, and hopeful.
Now? I can only pray, and hope that America votes for a change. I think Obama and Biden can do this.
